Please read this document carefully. By signing this agreement, you acknowledge that camp activities carry inherent risks and agree to waive certain legal rights.
1. Supervision of Minor Children (Crucial Family Camp Policy)
Parental Responsibility: I acknowledge that Camp Selah does not provide 24-hour child care during Family Camp.
The Rule: I agree that I (or the designated adult guardians listed above) maintain full legal and physical custody, supervision, and responsibility for our minor children at all times during the event, including during free-time hours, meals, overnight housing, and open recreation.
2. Medical Declaration & Emergency Authorization
Fitness to Participate: I certify that all listed family members are in good health and physical condition to safely engage in camp activities. I agree that no member of our group will attend camp if exhibiting symptoms of an infectious illness within 48 hours of arrival.
Emergency Treatment: In the event of a medical emergency involving any listed family member, if the primary adult is incapacitated or unreachable, I hereby authorize camp staff to secure emergency medical care, transportation, or hospital treatment.
Financial Terms: I understand that our personal health insurance serves as the primary coverage, and I assume full financial responsibility for all medical and transit expenses incurred.
3. Assumption of Risk & Liability Release
Nature of Activities: I understand that family camp involves communal living and outdoor activities which may include hiking, aquatics, campfire gatherings, and sports. I knowingly assume all inherent risks on behalf of myself and my minor children.
Release of Claims: I hereby release, waive, and forever discharge Camp Selah, its directors and staff from any and all liability, claims, or demands for personal injury, illness, property loss, or damage occurring to any listed family member during our stay, except in cases of gross negligence.
4. Code of Conduct & Camp Environment
I understand that I will be served by Camp Selah whose mission exalts Jesus Christ through creative programming, a safe and loving atmosphere and gracious hospitality, and a motto which is “Christ Above All.”
Community Standards: I agree that our family will abide by all camp rules regarding quiet hours, restricted property zones, and safety parameters.
Dismissal: The possession of illegal substances, weapons, setting off fireworks, or disruptive/dangerous behavior by any family member will result in the immediate removal of that family member or group from the premises without a refund.
Alcohol Policy: I understand that alcohol and the consumption of alcohol is not permitted on camp premises.
5. Media & Photo Release
Image Use: I grant Camp Selah permission to use photographs, videos, or audio recordings of me taken during camp for promotional, marketing, or website purposes.
By signing below, I certify that I am at least 18 years of age, have read this entire document, fully understand its terms, and agree to be bound by them.
