Summer Camp at Camp Selah

It is our goal at Camp Selah to provide a camping experience that is not only exciting, but also encourages the camper towards positive relationships. We feel it is important that young people learn to treat each other with kindness and respect. The staff at Camp Selah desire to demonstrate God's love to the campers by providing a safe environment where they can make new friends, learn about Jesus Christ and have a great time.

Our Staff
Our counselors are carefully selected; we hire dedicated Christian young people with a sincere desire to share Christ's love with others.  Most of our counseling staff is recruited from Christian colleges and receive training in counseling, evangelism, water safety, etc.

Camp Activities
Each week of camp is packed with activities and games that are geared to that week’s specific age group. No child gets bored at Camp Selah, the program is fast paced and filled with variety. There are activities for all kinds of personalities; we have crafts for the creative, sports for the athletic, water skiing for the daring, go karts for those who love a little speed, animals for the nature lover and much more.

All waterfront activities are conducted under the supervision of a qualified Red Cross Lifeguard. A qualified health officer is on site at all times during camp operation, and a camp doctor is nearby in case of an emergency or illness. All activities are designed with your child's emotional and physical well being in mind. Every effort is made to assure that your child has a fun, yet safe experience at Camp Selah.

Licensing and Associations
Camp Selah is licensed and inspected by the "State of Michigan Department of Consumer & Industry Services" and is a member of "The Association of Christian Camps and Conferences."
Chapel/Cabin Devotions
Each week we have a special camp speaker for that specific age group. Biblical truths are taught in creative ways that make chapel times something campers look forward to. Every summer many young people make life-changing decisions at Camp Selah and as they return year after year they are encouraged and challenged to continue to grow in their faith.

During cabin devotion time the campers search the Scriptures together with their counselor and the other kids in their cabin. They have the opportunity to ask the questions that relate to where they are in life and learn to build each other up as they seek answers together.
